Student Ambassador Program

Through Young Musicians Unite's student ambassador program students and families support the non-profit with fundraising campaigns, community performances, playing side-by-side shows with YMU students, starting scholarship campaigns, engaging in peer-to-peer mentoring.

We are thankful for the dedication and support of these young mentors and families. To date our partner bands have raised over $1.6 Million for free music education benefiting those in need.

The Music Matters Scholarship

The Music Matters Scholarship Fund, founded by Levi Gans, will allow highly talented, under-resourced students, who would otherwise not be able to afford private lessons, to take their musical talents to the next level through a three-month intensive 1 on 1 program with a highly educated instructor at the Wynwood School of Music. Students applying for this scholarship must be serious about both their schoolwork and musical careers. This will give students the opportunity to receive appropriate coaching to compete for a full ride music scholarship to college. All donations are tax deductible.

The College Access Scholarship Fund

The College Access Scholarship Fund was created by Sydney and Sam Greenwald in 2023 to provide college guidance and support to high school students seeking a college degree in music. YMU has partnered with a college counselor and an SAT/ACT tutor who have each committed to working with a select group of students to assist in this endeavor. The fund will cover the cost of counseling sessions, tutoring and college application fees for students.

“We realized that there are many families who are unable to afford counseling or tutoring for college and it didn't seem fair. Our goal for this year is to raise $10,000 so that we can make a bigger impact and help as many students as possible.”
